scheduling
The Dancing Heart Photography experience includes a pre-session consultation, a portrait session and an ordering session. A signed portrait agreement and deposit are required to hold a date - both due within 5 days of scheduling. We recommend scheduling maternity sessions between 28-34 weeks; newborn sessions are booked around your due date and held within two weeks of birth.
pre-session consultation
To get to know you better and understand your vision for portraits, we'll have a 30-minute pre-session consultation. We'll discuss your portraiture needs, location and clothing to tailor your personalized portrait session.
location
Sessions are on-location using primarily natural light - the most beautiful, flattering light available. A familiar place where your children are comfortable adds a certain warmth and life necessary to create enchanting portraits. Your home or yard may be the perfect location; or choose a park or another spot that's special to your family. If you're not sure where to go, we have a few favorite spots around town we can suggest. Maternity & newborn sessions are typically held in the privacy of your home.
